Photography Service Policy

 

Payment and Cancellation Policy

A 50% deposit of invoice total holds the shoot date and the remaining balance payment is due in full at the commencement of services. If cancellation occurs by client outside of 24 hours of booking confirmation, the session deposit will not be refundable but 50% of the deposit can go toward future services from Kate Messer Photography.  If a date and time change is requested, the rescheduled date may require an additional 50% of the balance due (after initial deposit received) to serve as a new deposit.

 

Satisfaction Guarantee

At Kate Messer Photography, your satisfaction is the ultimate goal.  While every effort is made to be achieve that goal during your session, if you are not happy with your photos, we will reshoot.  This is our policy.  Below is what this policy does not cover.  

 

Your choice in wardrobe, style or hair and makeup

Kate Messer Photography offers a free phone consultation with your session.  We go into detail about what your intentions are for the use of the photos, how best to style and wardrobe, hair and makeup, to name a few topics.  You will be guided in your wardrobe decisions but the choice is ultimately yours.  It is best to book an in-person consultation before the shoot and go over wardrobe choices, if you are unsure about this topic.  Although I can be helpful with your hair and makeup, it is always a good idea to hire a professional hair and makeup artist to help polish your look.  They know best how makeup reads for the camera.  References available.

Past the time period

If you are unsatisfied with your photos, you are allotted one week after the delivery of your photos to make it known to Kate Messer Photography.  Past this point, a reshoot is no longer valid. However, a reshoot past that point will be 50% off.  

 

You don’t like your hair and makeup from a professional who you have provided

If client brings in a hair and makeup professional (or nonprofessional)  that is not recommended by Kate Messer Photography and are unhappy with the results of their service, this falls out of guarantee policy.
